Would you rather listen than read?
As Sunday rolls into Monday, intentions of more exercise and less nighttime snacking are set.
This week, I am going to do it!
But as Monday comes to a close, moving your body just did not fit into your day. And, since you blew that goal, you might as well finish off that bag of chips — heck, you deserve it after your long day.
Keeping committed to what you tell yourself you are going to do can be really challenging. We, as humans, like to make things way too complicated or we don’t have a plan in place to set ourselves up for success. And because of that, well-intended goals can easily fall by the wayside.
Create a goal. Set a simple plan to get started. Know your obstacles and pitfalls and how you will overcome them.
Not so much. Especially when it comes to moving your body!
Have you ever had that wave of inspiration to get up and move or a last-minute extra 30 minutes and you think, “I know I can do something, but I don’t know what.”
I sure have!
And, it is super frustrating when you feel like you are wasting valuable time just thinking of what you can do with this new found energy. Quickly that energy can wane and the extra 30 minutes you had? Suddenly it dwindles as quickly as it appeared.
All you needed was a quick inspiration and an even quicker sweat-producing workout!
I got you covered! In today’s blog, I have a workout that you can do in the comfort of your own home and with minimal equipment — all you need is a loop band and a pillow (or a ball, if you prefer). In today’s video, I am going to take you through a dance-inspired workout to wake up your muscles and challenge muscles you didn’t know you had. You can make this a 10-15 minute workout or you can repeat it, extending the workout to 20-45 minutes!
